This software is aimed at the retail investor but receiving growing attention from the professional investment community. It has great fundamental and technical capabilities and is a consistent winner of awards. The software is very good value.

Use for: Fundamental & Technical Analysis, charting and data mining on fundamental and technical criteria.

PROQUOTE
www.proquote.com

Proquote came into the market to compete with Reuters and Bloomberg. These systems are good value given the functionality they offer but the majority of users only require prices, depth and direct market access. Proquote provides this for around £3,000 a year.

Use for: Real time prices, level two data and order entry onto the order book.


COMPANY REFS
www.companyrefs.com

Company refs provide fundamental data and data mining facilities. Online access to Refs costs around £800 a year.

Use for: Data mining on fundamentals. Very easy to read single page reports. Easy comparisons against the market and stock sector on growth and value criteria.
